Wine estate Vall Llach from Spain
CATALONIA | SPAIN

Wine estate Vall Llach

Celler Vall Llach was founded in 1996 by the famous Catalan singer-songwriter Lluís Llach and his friend Enric Costa. About 44 hectares were planted with old vineyards up to 100 years old, mostly Cariñena and Garnacha. They are located on steep vineyards, which require the winegrowers to work exclusively by hand and with a lot of physical strength. Yields are extremely low, so each grape bursts with color and flavor. New additions include some Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Syrah, and Viognier. In viticulture, quality-conscious owners rely on integrated production and manage their vineyards according to organic guidelines. Since 2012, Enric Costa’s son Albert has been vinifying the exceptional terroir wines among the top wines in Spain.

Johannes from wine estatet Gross at Nussberg
RATSCH I SOUTHERN STYRIA I AUSTRIA

Wine estate Gross

Martina and Johannes Gross took over responsibility for the Gross am Nussberg Vineyard in 2019. For them, manual work is the basis for pressing wine that tastes of the location in which it grows. This aims to further develop the wine style of the winery, which stands for longevity, fineness and subtlety. The grapes originate to 100% from own hillside vineyards, for which they exercise the utmost care in person during cultivation. Their focus is on the grape variety Sauvignon Blanc, which finds optimal conditions in the Styrian-Slovenian border region. It embodies not only the unique typicality of its origin, but also the winery’s style: hand-picked, spontaneous fermentation, separate maturation of every plot and time for the development.
