Hirtzberger wine-growing estate in the Wachau Valley is one of the superstars of the Austrian vineyards. White wines of world renown emanate from this vineyard. Friendship dating back years brings together the hotel DAS CENTRAL and the Velich family from Burgenland. The Velich wine-growing estate produces exclusively white wines – and their Chardonnays are rightly among the best in Austria. The use of French oak casks lends a special note to the wines, which highlights the stylistics typical to the region. The ‘Tiglat’ and ‘Darscho’ Chardonnays are the flagships for this vineyard.

Hans Reisetbauer in Austria’s Hausruck district – in the heart of Upper Austria – has been producing high quality brandies, as well as gin and whiskey, for almost 20 years. In a region where there is a tradition of fruit growing, the Reisetbauer family have changed from being a traditional, agricultural business, to one of the most state-of-the-art distilleries in Austria. The quality of the fruit is what makes a fruit brandy, which is why at Hans Reisetbauer only the best is bottled – using choice spring water and Williams pears that he grows and harvests himself on his impressive farm.
