Fine brandies at Wein am Berg
THE ART OF DISTILLING
Hans Reisetbauer in Austria’s Hausruck district – in the heart of Upper Austria – has been producing high quality brandies, as well as gin and whiskey, for almost 20 years. In a region where there is a tradition of fruit growing, the Reisetbauer family have changed from being a traditional, agricultural business, to one of the most state-of-the-art distilleries in Austria. The quality of the fruit is what makes a fruit brandy, which is why at Hans Reisetbauer only the best is bottled – using choice spring water and Williams pears that he grows and harvests himself on his impressive farm.
